About Me

My photo
My name is Maria Kathleen Janco-Houmard. I was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. At age one, I was adopted and raised in Yulee, Florida. I received my B.S. degree from UNF where I majored in Mathematics and minored in Computer Science. I currently work at Sungard Relius. I married my wonderful Husband, Terry (aka Ty) Houmard Jr, on May 14th 2011. We live in Fernandina Beach, Florida and hope one day to start a family together. The reason why I decided to be a "blogger", is because I want to share my experience of being a Houmard. I know it is going to be a joyous adventure with Ty especially when we start to have a family, buy a house, etc....

Garlic, Basil Stuff Chicken

Here is the recipe for my Garlic, Basil Stuff Chicken.  Ty fell in love with this recipe.  I apologize for not including any measurements. Usually, when I cook and create something off the top of my head, I don't measure my ingredients.  I only measure ingredients when I'm following someone other than my recipe.

Ingredients:
Boneless Chicken breast (you can marinate it as you like)
   Butter
   Italian Seasoning
   Parsley
Basil Herb Blend (Gourmet Garden, already chopped in a tube)
Garlic & Butter Flavored Croutons (crush)
   Lemon Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Put the butter in a small bowl and melt it in the microwave.
  2. Crush the Garlic & Butter Flavored Croutons and mix in with melted butter.
  3. Add the Italian Seasoning and Parsley in the bowl until it is well mixed.
  4. Cut the chicken slightly in the middle (you don't want to cut it all the way).
  5. Take a spoon and stuff the chicken with what you just mixed (you may have left over).
  6. Take the Basil Tube and squeeze it though the middle of the stuffing.
  7. Sprinkle a little lemon pepper on top of the chicken.
  8. If you have left over stuffing, you may want to spread that on top of the chicken to use up.
  9. Cook your chicken as usual.
